4 day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga: itinerary
Day 1Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Valley of Roses – Dades
Riad pick-up and drive over the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka. We visit the Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, pass Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley.
Day 2Dades – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga
We follow the kasbah road to the Todra Gorges and continue through the Tinghir and Erfoud palm groves to Merzouga. At sunset, camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes to the camp.
Day 3Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Sunrise over the dunes and camel ride back. We pass Rissani and Alnif and follow the Draa Valley palm groves to Ouarzazate for the night.
Day 4Ouarzazate – Tizi n’Tichka – Marrakech
After breakfast we cross the High Atlas again, stopping at Berber villages and viewpoints, and reach Marrakech in the early afternoon.
